Asia Pulp & Paper Sinar Mas
We are responsible for providing products that meet the requirements to meet the global market demand for office stationery and paper products. In addition, we also realize our greater responsibility to run a supported business - we have the ability to be innovators, to be agents of change with the changes we want to see in the world to preserve the common future for #GrowingOurTomorow Vision & Value
As a leading global pulp and paper company, we continue to innovate, be supported and responsible, working together for a better future for our customers, communities, employees, shareholders and you. We appreciate:
Commitment to Sustainability
- Our employees who are an integral part of the success of Sinar Mas Asia Pulp & Paper (APP)
- The environment in which we operate depending on the sustainable operations
- Our customers and suppliers, who support our business
- Our shareholders, and the community that is our responsibility
- The principles of good governance because we continue to build a sustainable business
Our vision is to produce efficient and innovative pulp and paper through responsible management training, therefore we make products with a carbon footprint that creates lower impact to achieve the sustainability.
Our aim is to demonstrate responsible business practices across Asia Pulp and Paper businesses on a global scale to the supply chain - working with local communities, while protecting forests, peatlands, and using biodiversity. For this reason, we achieve the need for a clear relationship between the product and the production process and the needs of our customers.
Our sustainability commitment is recorded in the Sustainability Roadmap: Vision 2020. Since its launch in 2012, Vision 2020 has become a reference for the strategies we have improved in the sustainability business.
This roadmap covers 10 key areas and is relevant to stakeholders around the world and the Asia Pulp and Paper supply chain, targeting advocacy targets for each of its fields. Moreover, we use this roadmap to support and achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
One of the main achievements in this road map is the Forest Conservation Policy or Forest Conservation Policy. Initially, in Vision 2020, APP will apply the principle of High Conservation Value and implement the cutting down of natural forests in 2015. On February 5, 2013, we agreed that the FCP will be implemented immediately, at least two years earlier than transferred.
